June means that Summer is fast approaching and that, of course, for many means warmer days and for kids and parents the end of the school year.
As with so many months, June offers up so many pitching and posting opportunities.
World Environment Day (June 5) – This is a great opportunity to share products and services that focus on the environment. Think about ideas that focus on the garden, family and simple ways to make changes for the environment in your everyday life. You could share personal stories from your own life and family and offer top tips to reduce your single-use plastic use, improve litterless lunches, or how to limit the use of your car.
Father’s Day (third Sunday)– Share some great Father’s Day products on social and on the blog. This could be a great media hit too! Pitch great products and a gift guide for Dad.
National Selfie Day (June 21)– Use this unconventional holiday as the perfect excuse to generate User Generated Content. Think about encouraging your community to share a selfie wearing or using your companies product (pro tip: turn this into a fun giveaway to increase participation on social) via your social channels.
Pride Month– LGBTQ2 Pride month is a chance to give some well-deserved attention to brands with LGBTQ2 owners, as well as brands that champion inclusivity and acceptance.
Summer Survival: Here in Ontario most kids finish school for the summer at the end of June, so how about sharing some summer survival tips for parents and kids.
