Your Media Pitch Package

Do you want to pitch journalists for media attention but just not sure where to start? It can be hard in the beginning, to know exactly how to go about reaching out to the media. Like anything else it takes a bit of work and some practice to find the techniques that work for you. This is the reason why I am sharing my knowledge from the newsrooms I have worked in over the past 20 years in broadcast media. I want to arm you with all the information possible so you can fine-tune your own media and PR strategy to get press and generate buzz for your business.

There are some great techniques if used the right way will put you in the right position to get the attention of key producers and editors.

I created a pitch package for you. It contains a handy cheat sheet that outlines five pitch techniques that will help you generate the right story ideas to send to journalists. I also created some templates that you can edit and even print to help you get clear on your pitch, including a demo pitch template and a template to change up your story four different ways. One of the pitch techniques I outline is called the piggy-back technique. You will create stories that jump on the back of stories, topics or holidays already in the news. I created an editorial calendar and template that you can fill in to help you stay on top of story ideas. Check out the pitch package HERE

This is all including in one package. I will continue to add cheat sheets and templates as necessary.

I have designed all the templates to be downloadable, editable and printable if you want to go old school and put pen to paper.

My hope is this pitch package of cheat sheets and templates will help you get clear on the stories you are pitching and the techniques and strategies you are implementing.

As always, give me a shout if you have any specific media and PR needs or questions you would like answered. One way to find out more about pitching the media is to join my Facebook group Media + PR Collective For Entrepreneurs. There are more than 100 other entrepreneurs in the group.
